What an AMAZING day! Melissa and I got married at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club in Solana Beach, California on January 22nd, 2005 and it couldn't have been more perfect! The weather was beautiful - friends and family were there and everyone had a great time! We had just over 100 guests in attendance with the Ceremony ending just as the Sun was setting and the Reception went on late into the night. Every time we turned around people were laughing and dancing until the last song was played. The "Love-Fest 2005" started Thursday night with Toni and Bill Estrada throwing an Open House for all in and out-of-town guests to get together and swap stories. Friday was Rehearsal day followed by the Rehearsal Dinner. The Rehearsal Dinner was a very laid back night at "Big Jim's Old South Barbecue" on Hwy 101 in Encinitas. The roasting was rather minimal with laughter and tears flowing through the night. Most of the wedding party was staying at the same hotel so the celebration continued after the Rehearsal Dinner at the hotel...until Management thought it was time for everyone to settle down for the night. Saturday finally arrived and the real festivities began. The wedding party had to arrive early for pictures since it would be too dark afterwards and the Wild Turkey calmed the nerves as the wedding guests began to arrive. The wedding went off without a hitch - aside from a Ring Bearer and a Flower Girl having a STRONG resistance to wanting to participate. The Reverend Dr. Helen Lathrop (better known as Honey) performed a perfect Ceremony and the Reception to follow seemed to fly by in a moments time. Before we knew it, Mel and I were dancing our First Dance and Sasha, Cathy and Carmel were giving their amazing Toasts. The cake cutting was civil until Mel decided to make it sloppy (Note to reader: This is the writers/grooms interpretation of the cake cutting sloppiness - Melissa, and the video proof, see it differently). The night eventually came to an end and nobody wanted to leave - hence Matt's offering to continue the festivities at the Estrada's.

Melissa and I can't thank everyone enough for the support we've both received. We'd especially like to thank our parents and families. They have been in our corner from day one and we wouldn't be who or where we are today if it weren't for them.
